Festa di San Giuseppe
La seguita festa di San Giuseppe viene festeggiata due volte: il 19 marzo e la prima domenica di maggio. Nella prima vengono organizzate le tradizionali ?tavole di San Giuseppe?, grandi altari imbanditi con ogni bont? gastronomica frutto della questua iniziata da una famiglia devota organizzatrice alcuni mesi prima. La festa ? caratterizzata da un particolare rito: per ognuna delle tavole organizzate in giro per la citt? vengono chiamati tre poverelli del quartiere a impersonare i componenti della Sacra famiglia (Ges?, Giuseppe e Maria). Il giorno della ricorrenza, vestiti con candide tuniche e ghirlande di fiori sul capo, i tre accompagnati da una moltitudine di bambini che gridano ?U patriarca! U patriarca!? raggiungono l?ingresso della casa decorato con palme bussando tre volte all?uscio e rispondendo al ?cu ??? ?semmu Ges?, Giuseppe e Maria!?. Al ch? tra gli applausi vengono accolti in casa a godere delle bont? della tavolata dopo il digiuno rituale dei giorni precedenti.
