Crab with Onion (with parsley, fresh tomatoes, a can of tomato sauce, onion and basil)

Ingredients

4 crabs with claws cracked
1 cup parsley, minced
salt and pepper
1 can tomato sauce
1 cup onion, chopped
1 cup olive oil
3 cups tomatoes
1/4 cup basil



Directions

Place the cleaned crab with meat still in the shells in a large kettle with onion, parsley and olive oil; season lightly, cover and simmer 20 minutes.

heat tomatoes with tomato sauce and basil and when boiling hot, pour over the crab and simmer 30 minutes.

Serve crab with plenty of sauce.

Serves 4.

Note: This dish served with a tossed green salad and hot Italian bread makes a delicious meal.
