Pizza Pie (using hot roll mix, canned tomatoes, sausage and chopped onion)

Ingredients

1 package hot roll mix

Topping
2 no. 2 1/2 cans Italian-style tomatoes
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/4 cup finely chopped parsley
3/4 teaspoon salt
Pepper to taste
1 pound pork sausage, cooked
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Olive oil
1/2 pound Italian sausage



Directions

Prepare the hot roll mix as directed on the package. Allow to raise in a warm place until double in bulk.

Drain tomatoes and combine with all other ingredients except oil and Italian sausage.

Roll out the dough to fit a cookie sheet. (About 11 inches by 15 inches for this quantity to get a thin sheet of dough.)

Brush with olive oil.

Spread the tomato mixture over the dough.

Dot with small pieces of cooked Italian sausage.

Bake in a 400 degree oven for 25 minutes and serve hot.

Serves 8.
