Fig and Date Sauce/Salsa di Fiche e Datteri (using preserved figs and blanched almonds)

Ingredients

1/4 cup dates
1/2 cup almonds, blanched and shredded
1/4 cup preserved figs, cut up



Directions

Cover dates with boiling water, and let stand about 1 hour, or until puffed; drain, stone and cut into small pieces.

Mix dates with figs and the syrup.

Add almonds just before serving.
