Strawberry Ice/Granita di Fragole (with strawberry juice, sugar and lemon juice)

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups strawberry juice
2 tablespoons lemon juice
3 cups sugar



Directions

Mash and cover with sugar enough strawberries to make 1 1/2 cups juice; let stand for several hours.

Strain, add lemon juice and water, and freeze until mixture has a snowy, frothy look.

Serve in tall glasses.

Makes 2 quarts.

NOTE: Raspberries can be used in same manner.
