Ingredients

1 cup regular almonds (unroasted)
1/2 cup sugar
1 to 2 tablespoons honey
1/4 cup water

Directions

Place all the ingredients in a frying pan, mix well, and cook over medium heat on the stove burner. Keep stirring until the sugar is melted and honey sticks to the almonds -- this takes about 15 to 20 minutes.

Place the sugar and honey coated almonds on a greased cookie pan (or a pan sprayed with Pam) and let the nuts cool.

After the nuts cool down (This takes about 10 to 15 minutes) separate the nuts from each other.

Serve at room temperature.

Notes

The sugar and honey coated nuts which look very similar to "almond brittle" were prepared by Micheline Di Gerolomo. The photo was taken by Mary Melfi.
