Mulled Wine (flavored with sugar, lemon, cinnamon and cloves)

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups water
1/2 cup sugar
Rind of 1 lemon
1 2-inch stick cinnamon
8 cloves
1 wine bottle Burgundy, Chianti

For dusting
about 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg



Directions

Boil water, sugar, lemon rind, cinnamon, and cloves for about 15 minutes.

In a separate pan heat wine, but do not boil.

Mix wine and water; strain.

Serve in cups.

Add a touch of nutmeg.
