Ingredients Directions Notes This utensil was part of a cooking utensil called "petre" which was used to make "caragna" sweet fritters in Larino, Molise around the 1930s. The stick was used to twirl the dough and make spirals, while the mesh (as seen in the photo) was used to make indentations in the dough (see also Fritters/"Caragna -- Cooking Utensil/"Petre" Picture No. 1, No. 2 and No. 4"). |
