550 grams flour
100 grams sugar
250 grams honey
2 tablespoons milk
1 egg
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
Pinch of salt

Candies used in baking


Preheat oven to 350 F degrees.

In a blender mix together the butter, sugar, honey, milk, vanilla, egg, flour, baking powder and a pinch of salt.

Roll out the cookie dough and cut out decorative shapes.

Place a candy in the center.

Bake until golden (about 12 minutes).


I tried out Marisa Pastore's recipe and ended with a nice enough cookie. However, I am absolutely certain that if Marisa herself had done the cookies they would have been much more attractive as she has the professional skills of a pastry chef and I don't. Photo and notes: Mary Melfi.
