italian walnut crescent cookies
Walnut Crescents (with butter, icing sugar and vanilla)

1 cup butter
1/4 cup icing sugar, plus additional for coating
1 3/4 cups flour
2 tsps vanilla
1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts


1. When butter is soft, beat in the sugar until smooth and creamy

2. Add flour, then vanilla & mix well

3. Lastly add chopped walnuts & mix well

4. Roll into 3 inch logs, then shape into crescents.

5. Bake 10 minutes at 375 degrees

6. Remove from oven & spinkle wih a heavy coat of icing sugar while cookies are still hot. You can also roll them gently in the sugar taking care not to break the cookies.


Be careful not to overbake as bottom of cookies will burn.Cookies will be soft & need to be handled carefully to avoid breaking.
