Seadas (Sardinian mozzarella fritters with eggs and lemon zest, brushed with honey)

Ingredients

For the dough
500 (about 16 ounces) grams flour
Butter
Water
Salt

For the filling
Grated mozzarella
Finely grated zest of 1 lemon
2 eggs

For topping
Honey
Sugar

Vegetable oil for deep frying



Directions

o Make pastry dough and cut into 4 inch rounds.

o Add filling on bottom round. Top with matching round. Press together with a fork.

o Fry until golden brown.

o Before serving brush with honey, and sprinkle with sugar.
