The book captures in words and pictures the story of a number of residents who live at Santa Cabrini's residential care facility. Those who worked on the book include: Dora Sposato ("collaboratrice"), Irene Giannetti (collaboratrice speciale) and Marina Javicoli ("coordinatrice"). In response to a request for archival material, Jackie Meiers, public relations & marketing manager for Cabrini Health, notes that her institution was originally set up to serve the Italian community in Melbourne but in the late 1950s it began to open its doors to all the residents in the area. Like many other Cabrini hospitals, scattered throughout the world, the health care facility in Australia is run by both lay people and the Missionary Sisters.
