Notes: Folk Sayings or Proverbs on Doctors (Negative) -- by Region -- Veneto
     
      o in Italian: (Dialect) L'amigo del prete perde la relijon, l'amigo del dotore perde la salute, l'amigo del'avocato perde la causa.
      o in English: The friend of a priest loses his religion, the friend of a doctor loses his health, the friend of a lawyer loses his case.
     
      o in Italian: (Dialect) Falo de medego, volonta de Dio.
      o in English: (Literally) Doctor's error: will of God.
      (Meaning) The line might be used to console someone; however, if the line is said sarcastically, obviously the doctor (and not God) is blamed for the situation.
